OUR HISTORY

At the Knock O’Hogan School of Irish Dance, we strive for excellence and joy in dance. For more than 20 years, we’ve offered students—from Beginner through Championship levels—an opportunity to learn, perform, and grow as dancers in a supportive and inspiring environment.

With a studio in Edmonton , we are proud to teach students across Alberta who are passionate about Irish dance. Our certified teachers (T.C.R.G.) bring patience, positivity, and expertise into every class. “To teach is to touch a life forever, to teach dance is to touch a soul forever.”

Meet Our Founder – Angela Hogan

The driving force behind Knock O’Hogan is Angela Hogan, a highly accomplished Irish dance teacher (T.C.R.G.) and adjudicator (A.D.C.R.G.). With a balance of encouragement and tough love, Angela builds both competitive spirit and lifelong friendships within her students.

World-Class Achievements

Knock O’Hogan dancers are recognized internationally for their success, proudly representing Western Canada, North America, and beyond:

• 26+ Western Canadian titles

• Two-time North American Belt winners

• 2nd place in North America

• First Western Canadian school to bring home a World Championship Globe (2013)

• Highest solo placement from Western Canada at the World Championships – 2nd place (2013)

• Teams placing as high as 3rd at the World Championships

• 2nd place at the National Championships
